The Journal of Critical Social Sciences and Review (JCSSR) is currently seeking dedicated scholars, experienced researchers, and subject matter experts to join the editorial team and reviewer network. As a newly established quarterly, open-access journal, JCSSR is committed to fostering a rigorous and inclusive space for critical social science discourse.

The Opportunity

Editorial board members and reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the journal’s academic standards, ensuring the integrity of the peer-review process, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the social sciences.

Areas of Expertise

Applications are welcome from individuals with expertise in the following fields:

  • Core Social Sciences: Education, Public Administration, Political Science, Psychology, and Social Work.

  • Applied Fields: Business Administration, Disaster Management, and Community Development.

  • Interdisciplinary Tech-Social Studies: AI Ethics, Blockchain Sociology, and the Social Impact of Technology.

Roles and Responsibilities Editorial Board Members
  • Provide strategic guidance on the journal’s scope and direction.

  • Act as ambassadors for the journal within the global academic community.

  • Oversee the review process for specific thematic areas.

  • Contribute to final editorial decisions on high-impact manuscripts.

Peer Reviewers
  • Conduct objective, double-blind evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

  • Assess methodological soundness, originality, and ethical compliance.

  • Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.

  • Ensure timely completion of reviews to maintain the journal's publication schedule.

Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field (Masters degree holders with significant research/publication records may be considered for reviewer roles).

  • A proven track record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Prior experience in editing or peer-reviewing is highly preferred.

  • A commitment to academic integrity and the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
