As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Formatting and Template Compliance
Adherence to the official JCSSR Manuscript Template is a mandatory requirement for all submissions. To ensure consistency and professional layout across all published works, manuscripts must strictly follow the journal’s prescribed formatting, including font styles, citation standards, and structural organization.

Important Notice: Submissions that fail to comply with the official template or do not meet the specified formatting guidelines will be automatically rejected during the initial editorial screening, without proceeding to peer review.

Please ensure your work is properly formatted before uploading.

Manuscript Length and Page Limit Policy

Overview

The Journal of Critical Social Sciences and Review (JCSSR) prioritizes research that is both intellectually rigorous and efficiently communicated. To ensure that every published article provides sufficient depth without becoming unnecessarily verbose, a strict page limit has been established for all submissions.

Submission Requirements

Authors are required to adhere to the following page constraints for their initial and final manuscripts:

  • Minimum Length: 8 pages.

  • Maximum Length: 15 pages.

These limits include the abstract, keywords, main text, tables, figures, and references. The page count is based on the journal’s standard formatting (Single-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins).

Rationale for Length Constraints

  • Minimum Threshold (8 Pages): To ensure that every study provides a comprehensive review of literature, a clear methodology, robust data analysis, and a critical discussion of results. Works falling below this limit are often deemed "short communications" or "research notes," which may not align with the depth required for a full JCSSR article.

  • Maximum Threshold (15 Pages): To encourage authors to focus on their primary findings and maintain a clear, logical flow. This limit ensures that the journal remains accessible to readers and that the peer-review process is manageable for reviewers.

Policy Enforcement: Automatic Rejection

The journal maintains a strict administrative screening process. Submissions that do not fall within the 8 to 15-page range will be automatically declined at the preliminary editorial stage. * Below 8 Pages: The submission will be returned with a recommendation to expand the depth of the study.

  • Exceeding 15 Pages: The manuscript will be automatically rejected. In these cases, the editorial office will not proceed to plagiarism checking or peer review.

Exceptions

While the page limit is strictly enforced for standard research articles, exceptions may be considered only for Systematic Literature Reviews or Meta-Analyses, provided that the author secures written permission from the Editor-in-Chief prior to submission.
